Unique & Creative Solutions reducing the risk of process contamination
Tamar shaft sealing Technology
Tamar specialises in the development and production of reliable and cost-effective rotary shaft sealing systems.
With over 30 years of experience in the sealing industry, TAMAR has managed to successfully install thousands of shaft seals on various applications worldwide.
Tamar shaft sealing technology combines all the benefits of the conventional Mechanical seal to create a synergetic solution that contains eight layers of protection against leakage.
The result is Zero leakage even under extreme conditions such as; Abrasive Slurry, Cavitation, Dry running, Closed suction, Closed discharge and run-outs condition, the TAMAR seal lives on.
TAMAR SEAL Article
SMIDDY(IMSC)Ltd mechanical seal consultants and Israel-based TAMAR SEAL team up to introduce an innovative new mechanical seal technology to Ireland and European markets.
John Smiddy was first introduced to TAMAR SEAL over 8 years ago, John was intrigued to learn about TAMAR SEAL developments of a pump seal that had been proven not to leak like a traditional mechanical seal.
This sealing technology is integral to such industries as, Chemical & Pharmaceutical, Mining, Paper & Pulp, Food processing companies, Water & Wastewater, Paint & Varnish manufacturing, and for use on Industrial Powder Handling Equipment in all sectors.
John Smiddy says several factors make the TAMAR SEAL one-of-a-kind, including its use of a flexible sealant barrier, this is not like any other barrier system. The flexible sealant material does not dissipate into the process fluid, thanks to a strong booster that maintains a constantly high-pressure level within the system. TAMAR SEAL also has one of the first predictive mechanical seals, meaning that when the seal eventually begins to wear and calls for more flexible sealant, a sensor is triggered and sends a text message to a mobile phone, making it easier for operators to maintain the system before the seal can wear. Normally this will give the operator 3 weeks advance notice before a sealant refill is required. A mechanical visual indicator is also used for walk-by operators.
John Smiddy says TAMAR SEAL will last an average of 2.5 years before replacement is needed. He says the technology will improve the manufacturer’s efficiency while protecting the environment.
“A traditional seal that leaks harmful fluids like acids or solvent vapours into the atmosphere can be damaging to the equipment, the surrounding area and more importantly people’s health, often these vapours are not seen and go undetected. ” John says, “TAMAR sealing technology prevents this from happening.”
Other leaders in the mechanical seal industry have taken notice of TAMAR SEAL technology and are quick to point out the advantages it can provide. This advancement in seal technology could have a big impact on several industries, particularly when it comes to protecting the environment, providing the industry with energy and water-saving options, this is a game-changer technology which will help industry meet their net zero targets.
I encourage you to connect John Smiddy, plan a demonstration to show you how the real benefits this sealing technology can bring to your industry.
